I initially joined Megger on a temporary 3 month contract in October 2004 where I was given a quick course in what makes Megger the leader in insulation testing working on the 5 kV and 10 kV testers under development. Coming from a defence background, I was able to introduce skills from designing to meet EMC requirements to integrate with Meggers proven designing for safety in our products. I am proud knowing that there are people who (knowingly or unknowingly) owe their lives to the safety built into Megger products. 

Working with the small highly skilled team of hardware engineers has helped me grow as an engineer as we tackle issues ranging from reasonably mundane circuit design to issues with plastic conducting causing reading inaccuracies to considering ways to mitigate the safety issues if a test lead disconnects when carrying high currents. 

I have recently been promoted to lead the Hardware design team and am proud to lead such a dedicated, skill group of engineers.
