Railway Interchange 2013 post-show review

Megger recently attended Railway Interchange 2013, the largest North American railway industry exhibition and conference sponsored by AREMA/RSI/REMSA/RSSI. The show, held in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Indiana Convention Center, showcased maintenance-of-way, mechanical as well as communications-and-signals products and services. Megger featured two prototypes at the show including a third-rail tester and catenary voltage tester.

how participants were particularly interested in Megger’s 5-kV insulation tester for testing traction motors; 1 kV insulation tester for cables; ground resistance testers for signaling, DLRO10X used for continuity to the rail; and cable length meters for determining the amount of cable left on a reel. Other featured products at the Megger booth included TDRs, a split box locator and cable height meter. Stitch in Time, Getting Down to Earth and product catalogs were requested by many visitors who stopped by our booth. Visitors from all over the world stopped by the Megger booth.  Engineers from Amtrak, CSX, Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF Railway and Norfolk Southern were also in attendance and stopped by.
